Club Campestre Los Arrayanes is proud to extend an invitation to Squash players around the world to participate in the COLOMBIAN JUNIOR OPEN - 2008, held in Bogotá, Colombia, from May 15th to 18th, 2008, as part of the “South American Junior Open Circuit” of the South American Squash Confederation - CSS and sanctioned by the Colombian Squash Federation and the Pan-American Squash Federation, which will be valid for the Colombian Junior Squash Ranking, for the South American Junior Squash Ranking – CSS, and will be taken into account as a criteria for future seeding in Pan-American tournaments.
1. Date and place.- The tournament will be held at the Club Campestre Los Arrayanes, held in Bogota, Colombia, from May 15th to 18th, 2008.
2. Divisions.- Gils and boys U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19.
A minimum of six (6) players is required as quorum to open a division.
Players may only play in two (2) divisions at must .
3. Event Schedule.- Local players must be prepared to play at 4:30 pm on Thursday, May 15th, 2008. Foreign players must be prepared to play at 8:00 am on Friday, May 16th, 2008.
Player start times will be posted at www.squashcolombia.org.co
4. Eligibility.- Tournament is open to any player from any country. Players must be of age for their age division through the first day of the month of the tournament; this is to May 1, 2008.
Players must provide proof of age upon registration, i.e. passport, citizenship card or birth certificate.
5. Entry.- Entry form, duly filled, must be sent by email to colombianjunioropen@hotmail.com
Entry form must be sent together to the deposit bank recipe mentioned in item 7 of this document, when applicable.
Tournament organization will send a confirmation email acknowledging receive the relevant entry form.
Entry form can also be sent by fax to: +57 (1) 310-2067 in Bogota D.C., Colombia.
6.- Entry Fee.- Entry Fee for current Colombian Squash Federation members, residents in Colombia is COL $90,000; includes player gift and dinner at the Award Ceremony. Entry fee for additional division is COL $20,000.
Entry Fee for non-current Colombian Squash Federation members is USD $50; includes player gift and dinner at the Award Ceremony. Entry fee for additional division is USD $10.
7.- Payment.- Payment for current Colombian Squash Federation members residents in Colombia must be made through bank deposit in the account number 085011831 in Banco de Bogota in the name of Club Campestre Los Arrayanes. Deposit recipe must make reference to CJO – name of the player.
Deposit recipe, together to the entry form duly filled, must be sent, including name, country and division via email in pdf format to: colombianjunioropen@hotmail.com .
Should entry form is sent by fax, the relevant bank deposit recipe must be sent to +57 (1) 310-2067 in Bogotá D.C., Colombia.
Payment for non-current Colombian Squash Federation members must be made in cash, in American Dollars, in the Tournament Venue, on the date of registration.
Refund Policy. Prior to entry deadline 100%; after deadline until May 14th, 2008: 50%. As from May 15th, 2008 no refund
8.- Entry Deadline.- Entries must be received by Friday, May 9th, 2008, 6:00 p.m. (Colombian local time). Entries received after this date and time will be put on a waiting list.
9. Tournament Registration Registration will occur at Club Campestre Los Arrayanes from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15th, 2008 as well as Friday, May 16th, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., but in any case prior to the first match of each relevant player. Players are required to provide proof of age upon registration. Unregistered players will not be call to his/her relevant match.
10.Format and Scoring.- Tournament will be full feed in consolation. Matches will be best 3 out of 5 games to 9 points according to the international scoring of the WSF. Round Robin draws might be used when ever the number of players deserves it.
11. Warming up and resting time.-Warming up time on court is 5 minutes time. Resting time between games is 90 seconds. During resting time, people, except for the players of the relevant match, are not authorized to come on court.
12.- Seeds.- Seeding will be made according to the following criteria:
-Ranking position in entities such as South American Squash Confederation, Pan-American Squash Confederation, Colombian Squash Federation - Fedesquash, PSA and WISPA or any national or international entity.
-Seeding for non ranked players will be chosen randomly.
13.Refereeing.-Winner of each match will be required to referee a match during the next scheduled match time according to the schedule established by the control desk. The semifinals and final are the exceptions, in which the looser will referee the assigned matche. Failure to comply may result in disqualification
14. Official Ball.-Matches will be played with Dunlop green dot ball in all divisions, except for matches in divisions Under 9, where Dunlop double yellow dot will be used save should players agree to play with green dot ball.
15. Practice Courts.-Practice Courts will be available on Tournament Venue and can be booked with the Courts Coordinator.
16.- W/O.-Players must be ready to play 15 minutes before the schedule time for his/her match; 10 minutes after the match has been called on court, the referee will give W/O once the relevant authorization of the Refereeing Director has been obtained.
17.- Protective Eyewear .- The use of protective eyewear is mandatory at all times while on court, including but not limited, to match and warming up time; without them a player is not authorized to come on court. Protective eyewear must comply with the standard specifications to play this kind of sport. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
18.- Attire.-Players must wear appropriate Squash attire, which may be of any color. Playing shoes must be non-marking. Headwear is permitted provided it doesn’t distract an opponent and shall not be potentially dangerous. Any doubt will be revolved by the Technical Committee.
19.- Awards.-A trophy will be granted to the first three places in each division. A medal will be granted to the 4th place.
Fair play trophy will be granted between those eligible players.

23. Accommodation.- Tournament organization will provide accommodation in family homes to the first 20 foreign players who duly sent the relevant entry form and request for family home accommodation. Accommodation will be supplied from Thursday May 15 to Monday May 19, 2008. By agreement with each relevant family, accommodation can be extended though Tuesday May 20, 2008. For those foreign players who request for family accommodation after the first 20 requesting, the Tournament Organization will do their best effort; however, it cannot be guaranteed

Cancellation Policies: fixed by each hotel.
24.- Meals.- For those players who are guests in family homes, the relevant family will provide breakfast and dinner, the latest when possible, during their staying. For those who be lodged in hotels, meals will be provided according to the rates and policies of each relevant hotel.
Lunch expenses will be assumed by each player. Club Campestre Los Arrayanes will offer a menu for approximately COL $15,000.00 or U$ 8.00. Prices can vary.
25. Transportation.- Taxicab (2-3 passengers) from/to airport El Dorado and the area of the suggested hotels: COL $20,000 or USD $12, approximately.

26.- Regulations.- Colombian Junior Open - 2008- Club Campestre Los Arrayanes, is organized and will be ruled according to the Rules and Regulations of the Colombian Squash Federation in accordance to the Rules and Regulations of the World Squash Federation (W.S.F).
Situations not ruled by this Regulations, will be solved by:
- Host Committee, according to the Rules and Regulations of the Colombian Squash Federation, whenever they are related to general issues.
- Appeal Committee, whenever they are related to technical issues, in accordance to the Rules and Regulations of the World Squash Federation (W.S.F). Referee Director will participate when appropriate.
Host Committee, in coordination with the Technical Committee, will schedule the matches and assign the relevant court.
Schedule may vary for convenient reasons such as court conditions, light problems, etc.
Control Desk, in coordination to the Referee Director, whenever required, will nominee the referee for each match and will give the general control of the event.
Regarding refereeing matters, any request must be made directly by the player before the Referee Director, but never before the referee of the relevant match. If a player wants to appeal the decision of the Referee Director, the appeal must be made during the following hour. Appeal Committee will notify its decision to the players, decision which will be final and non-appeasable.
27. Host Club.- Club Campestre Los Arrayanes has its origin in the year of 1953 and today is one of the most prestigious clubs in Bogota, offering to their members high quality services and modern facilities for the practice of billiard, bowling, soccer, golf, equestrian, swimming, squash y tennis.
Located to the northern side of the city, the Club is surrounded by a beautiful landscape, a incredible surrounding to rest and to enjoy outdoor sports. From the social area where you can find an Olympic size swimming pool you can enjoy the beauty of the golf course, one of the most played sports of ours members”.
The Club Campestre Los Arrayanes has disposed and therefore request each participant and visitor for the tournament to remain within the social area, abstaining from visiting other areas not mentioned.
